The story goes that the espresso martini was invented in Soho in London by the famous bartender Dick Bradsell. The vodka adds a little kick and turns it into a quite strong cocktail although it does not taste strong at all.  Some people describe it as rich and refreshing, bitter and sweet in the same time.
