Dragon fruit or pitaya is the fruit of a cactus plant native to North and South America. The robust peel can't be eaten. The dragon fruit has white flesh with black seeds; The pitaya has a mild taste and sweetness which can be compared to that the flesh of a kiwi. Just like a kiwi, the seeds can be eaten as well. Dragon fruit in cocktails is not often used, but it can certainly be done. An example of a cocktail with dragon fruit is the Dragonite. You can also use the dragon fruit peel to garnish cocktails because the pitaya itself looks kinda extraterrestrial.
