Aperol Spritz Description

Learn how to make the perfect Aperol Spritz drink:

Pour the prosecco, the aperol and the soda over ice and top with a slice of orange. The formula is quit easy: 3 parts prosecco, 2 parts aperol and 1 part soda. Your aperol spritz is ready!

The Italian Barbieri brothers created the aperitif Aperol in Padua in 1919. It’s said that the original recipe hasn’t changed over time. It wasn’t until the 1950s that Aperol Spritz became a popular alternative to the usual Venetian mix of white wine and soda.

In 2003 the Campari Group bought the Aperol brand. The Group positioned Aperol Spritz as ‘the perfect drink for social occasions’, increasing sales to four times the pre-acquisition levels.
