For the Brandy Crusta cocktail take a saucer and place sugar into it.
Rub the rim of a wine goblet with a lemon wedge and dip it into the sugar to coat the rim thoroughly. discard
Place a lemon peel spiral in the goblet and drape one end of it over the rim of the glass.
Fill the glass with crushed ice.
Fill a shaker half with ice cubes and add the cognac or brandy, the triple sec, the maraschino, the lemon juice, the cane sugar syrup and the angostura bitters.
Shake everything well and strain into the goblet.
You should also add a little chilled water but don’t when you use wet ice.
