When we are looking for the perfect Bloody Mary cocktail we quickly come to the conclusion that in fact it is a matter of personal taste.

Our favorite Bloody Mary recipe combines vodka, tomato juice, lemon juice, an egg, sherry, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco, pepper and celery salt. Most people leave out the egg and the sherry. Also the amount of pepper or celery salt can vary a lot between persons.
Next to the numerous variations of the spicing elements, there exist also quite some Bloody Mary alternatives with a different alcoholic ingredient than vodka.
Whiskey – The Bloody Joseph
A Bloody Mary where the vodka is replaced with whiskey. Combine the whiskey, the tomato juice, the lemon juice, the tabasco, the worcestershire sauce, the black pepper, the celery salt and the horseradish sauce. Shake everything well with ice and you Bloody Joseph is ready…
Gin – The Red Snapper or the Gin Bloody Mary
